Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy
13 % Alcohol

Light, medium ruby red. Classical nose of a ripe Brunello: A mix of several spices paired with ripe berries, cold tobacco smoke and wet wood. On the palate also very classical. The fruit notes are dominating with a touch of bitterness. Slowly the bitterness disappears, before the spices take over. Medium-long finish.
The wine is already a little bit over the top, but still very well drinkable. When I drank this wine it came to my mind that some nice truffles would be great. So if you have a chance to get some high-class truffles from the Piedmont region, this Brunello would be a avery good alternative if you like from wine perspective more the Tuscany direction.
